Part of our inspection team As a member of the Manitoulin Island business and agricultural community our family is used to working together. PS-Property Surveillance is a company that can offer you peace of mind. For one reasonable yearly fee, a real person will come to your property on a regular basis based on your needs. He will fill out an inspection report and make comments or recommendations.Our office will forward this information on to you keeping you informed. You will also be given a sign to post telling everyone that your property is under surveillance. Any work required outside of normal inspections will be billed seperately at reasonable rates.
We offer reduced rates to neighbourhoods or cottage owner associations.
PS-Property Surveillance don't leave home without us.

Knowing full well that Murphy's Law will get you every time, the following checklist describes, in part, our services.
  • 1 - Has a tree fallen and caused some damage?

    • Depending on the plan you choose, we can temporarily cover the damage with a tarp or have the damage professionally repaired. Your inspection report would include photos.

  • 2 - Has your home heating fuel run low because your driveway is inaccessible?

    • You can opt to have us plow your driveway after each snowstorm; or just prior to fuel delivery; or we can leave your driveway undisturbed so as to avoid unwelcome visitors. Choose the plan that fits your needs and leave it to us to ensure the policy is maintained.

  • 3 - Has a recent storm loosened some roof shingles?

    • Decide if you want us to simply report damage, make temporary repairs or have the damage professionally repaired. Your report would include pictures of the damage.

  • 4 - Has a window been broken?

    • Again, the plan you choose would dictate the measures taken.

  • 5 - Has too much snow fallen on your roof and/or covered your vents?

    • Winter snowfall on Manitoulin ranges from mild to severe so your choice of plan will dictate if you wish us to remove a heavy amount of snow from your roof before the roof caves in.

  • 6 - Are your outside chattels still there?

    • Our inspector will do an outside inventory at each inspection recording the items stipulated by you.

  • 7 - We have the equipment to get into remote locations no matter what the weather.


  • 8 - We can work closely with your electronic security company if the alarm goes off. You can give them our number so we can respond immediately. We have a working relationship with such a business here on Manitoulin and can make any arrangements you require.


  • 9 - If you own property on Manitoulin your home must be inspected during your absence else your insurance becomes void.
